PSP Go Video Leaked!

To me it looks like the Mylo, something I’m already not a fan of. You know what’s going to happen, we will all talk trash about it and how it’s ugly and we’d never get one… then next year it’s going to be one of those items I’ll bug my wife to get for me. I love my video games and if this helps with long drives, flights, whatever I’ll get it.

Watch this for more info:

Also I found this quote from Engadget:

The images here were sourced from an obviously slipped June 2009 Qore video, and aside from giving us a look at the slider-based system (which, let’s be honest, looks a ton like the questionably successful mylo), we’re also told that it’ll tout 16GB of internal memory, built-in Bluetooth and an undisclosed memory slot. If all goes well, it’ll ship this Fall for a price to be determined, and it’s actually not slated to replace the PSP-3000, as both of ’em will attempt to live on store shelves harmoniously… at least for awhile.

Around the Web: Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern

Working with comics I see a ton of fan made movies… some bad and some well, really bad. Actually I shouldn’t be so harsh, I’m a bit sick today so I think I’m going a bit over with the dramatic stuff.

Anyway, this Green Lantern trailer is filled with awesome (It even has a little bit of Sinestro in it) and you should watch and enjoy it. When I have time I ran across some other fun stuff to check out, I’ll see if I can post it.

Buffy in for feature relaunch without Whedon?

A relaunch of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” could be coming to the big screen however without creator Joss Whedon.

The new “Buffy” film, however, would have no connection to the TV series, nor would it use popular supporting characters like Angel, Willow, Xander or Spike. Vertigo and Kuzui are looking to restart the story line without trampling on the beloved existing universe created by Whedon, putting the parties in a similar situation faced by Paramount, J.J. Abrams and his crew when relaunching “Star Trek.”

One of the underlying ideas of “Buffy” allows Vertigo and Kuzui to do just that: that each generation has its own vampire slayer to protect it. The goal would be to make a darker, event-sized movie that would, of course, have franchise potential.

Interested in what the fans think I took a stroll over to whedonesque.com. I think this one sums it up.

“I don’t think “no” is a strong enough word”

Weekend Boxoffice Charts

Ben Stiller’s Night at the Museum sequel charged past the franchise relaunch of Terminator in a battle for North American box office supremacy.

Here is what they have for the weekend of May 22nd to May 25th.

  1. Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian $70.0/$70.0
  2. Terminator Salvation $53.8/$67.1
  3. Star Trek $29.4/$191.0
  4. Angels & Demons $27.7/$87.8
  5. Dance Flick $13.1/$13.1
  6. X-Men Origins: Wolverine $10.1/$165.3
  7. Ghosts of Girlfriends Past $4.8/$46.9
  8. Obsessed $2.5/$66.4
  9. Monsters vs. Aliens $1.9/$193.5
  10. 17 Again $1.2/$60.5
  11. The Soloist $1.0/$29.4
  12. Next Day Air $.7/$9.0

I’m not surprised that Night at the Museum did better. The first one was super popular with kids, and I enjoyed it myself. You’re going to get a lot more families going to that than to Terminator.

Star Trek” could have cut into “T4’s” action. “Star Trek” placed No. 3 for the weekend, declining only 49% to an estimated $29.4 million for a cume of $191 million in its third sesh.

Wizard Magazine May Spoil Captain America Again!

Don’t read past this line if you don’t like spoilers.

Rich Johnston over at Lying in the Gutters is reporting that Wizard may have yet again let info they shouldn’t about Captain America out.

I’m told that the upcoming August edition of Diamond Comics’ “Previews” solicits an upcoming issue of “Wizard” that makes it clear that the teased “Reborn” book from Marvel by Brubaker and Hitch is, indeed, The Return Of Captain America.

I’m pretty sure we all knew it was going to happen, but it’s just fun to pile up on Wizard.

Video Game News: Champions Online Delayed

Ohhh some Monday bad news, it looks like the Champions Online launch date has been moved from July 14th to September 1st of this year.

Why you ask, Cryptic had this to say

It is critically important for an MMO to be as good as it possibly can be at launch. Through our constant dialogue with our vocal and supportive community of beta testers, we quickly realized that in order to implement certain features that we all considered important the development of Champions Online would require more time. So that’s what we’re going to give it. Cryptic has a proven track record of releasing solid games and we want to maintain that with Champions Online.

Really, if Champions Online is set to be the premier superhero massively multiplayer online role playing game I’m ok with waiting for it to be bug free.

George Kirk to play Thor?

Marvel Comics New Thor

It seems rumors are all over the web today about the Aussie actor Chris Hemsworth being in final negotiations to play the big screen adaptation of the Marvel Comics character Thor.

If you’re unfamiliar with the story of Thor, he’s a hammer wielding Norse God who’s been banished to earth by his father Odin (king of the Norse gods) to teach him about humility and humanity. You see, Thor happens to like us little people and joins up with the Avengers to defend us from time to time.

Speaking of Avengers, I guess this means we know who will be playing the character in Marvel’s planned Avengers film in 2012. Unless he botches up the role and Marvel does a recast (Punisher, Sabertooth, Beast, uhh Hulk)

Hemsworth will also take the role originally played by Patrick Swayze in the remake of Red Dawn… a classic from 1984 and if you haven’t seen it you’d better get on it now before the Russians attack by commuter jets and you’re unrepaired.

Terminator Salvation T-Shirts!

So here we are, just a few days from the release of Terminator Salvation starring Christian Bale (Batman Begins, The Dark Knight) as John Connor, humanity’s last hope.  Mix in a new cyborg-ish Terminator and what look like some pretty intense special effects and this flick looks like it will continue the blockbuster trend set for this summer.

All that being said, make sure you take a look at our Terminator Salvation (and previous Terminator movies) t-shirts over at StylinOnline.com.
