Conan the Barbarian: The Musical! (Plus Lyrics)

Honestly, anything you can do, Conan can do better. Conan can do anything Better than you!

Arnold Schwarzenegger performs “Crom!” from Conan the Barbarian: The Musical.

Music and Lyrics by Jon and Al Kaplan (Silence! The Musical)

Another day,
Walking in circles
Haunted by memories, I push on this wheel.
I pray to Crom
Grant me revenge
And help me to answer the riddle of steel.

A shy little boy,
I couldn’t protect them
Helpless and timid, as weak as a girl.
They butchered my people, the dogs ate my father
My mother beheaded, they took my whole world.

Crom, where is the wizard who killed my mother?
Still, I can recall his terrible gaze.
Crom, where are the two snakes facing each other?
Crom, if you’re my god then show me the way.

I’m on the path, chopping up bodies
Hacking and slicing, and look at me now.
With loyal friends joining my party
Each step I take I’m fulfilling my vow.

Crush your enemies,
See them driven before you,
And hear the lamentation of the women!

(Repeat)

Crom, show me the wizard who killed my mother.
True I’ve never prayed to you before.
Still, what would I give if you could help me see this through?
And if you do not listen, then the hell with you!

Crom, where are the two snakes facing each other?
Crom, if you’re my god then show me the way.
Anyaaah, gnyaaaaahyaaaayaaaaa Yaaaaa ah aaaah ahhh

I swear this wizard will fall ’cause
This has begun
They murdered them all, I’m the last one
I issue the call, revenge for my mom,
I pray to you Crom!

Crush your enemies,
See them driven before you,
And hear the lamentation of the women.

Now toss on your favorite Conan shirt and sing along.

Favreau is out Shane Black is in

Quick one for you Iron Man Fans!

We’ve known for a while that Iron Man director Jon Favreau said he would not be returning to direct Iron Man 3, leaving fans like me wondering who will take the helm and keep the ball rolling. Now we’ve been hearing rumors from Marvel about meetings with Kiss Kiss Bang Bang director Shane Black (and Hawkins from the Predator!), and I will admit if this rumor turns out to be true that Black is in the final negotiations for the job, I for one will be happy (yet still sad Favreau is out).

Iron Man 3 will be released all the way in the far away time May 3, 2013, but you can pick up some awesome Iron man t-shirts from Stylin Online now.

Must Watch: New Thor Trailer is Up!

Paramount Pictures and Marvel Studios have just released the second trailer for Thor. Unlike the other trailers that had been just rebuilt and rehashed footage from Comic Con last year (the Super Bowl commercial is included in this crop), this one is more centered around (Oscar nominee!) Natalie Portman and shows off the funnier side of the movie.

Thankfully the trailer also includes a bit more footage of Destroyer (a favorite around the Stylin Office) and mortal enemies of everybody from Asgard, the Frost Giants. We also get to see more of Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) and Darcy(Kat Dennings), the latter of which seems to provide many of the film’s lighter moments.

“Thor” hits theaters May 6, 2011.

Smithsonian to Host Video Game Art Show in 2012

Looks like the Smithsonian will have a show in 2012 that will featuring footage from the last forty years of gaming! I actually find this pretty cool and hopefully will make it down to see it in person.

Despite what Roger Ebert has said about video games not being art, The Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington, D.C. will host an entire exhibition next year dedicated to the medium. ‘The Art of Video Games,’ which runs from March 16th, 2012 to September 9th, will feature interviews with several artists and developers, game footage spanning 40 years, a thorough history of gaming consoles, and even some playable consoles for visitors.

Sun Microsystems’ chief gaming officer Chris Mellissinos will work as the exhibit’s guest curator, but the Smithsonian also wants input from gamers. By visiting The Art of Video Games website, you can vote for 80 games out of a group of 240 candidates, which are divided by era, game type and platform. However, when we tried to cast our vote Tuesday morning, the voting component of the site had crashed because so many enthusiastic gamers rushed to the polls. Once the Smithsonian gets the voting back up and running, you’ll have until April 7th to cast your vote. Remember, if you don’t vote, you really shouldn’t exercise your right to complain about your favorite game being left out of the exhibit. Although, we’re sure that plenty of angry gamers will — no matter what. (From www.switched.com)

As always you can see our video game t-shirts on display anytime you want and don’t need to wait for the show.
