New to Green Lantern? All you need to know if the movie is an origin story focusing on Hal Jordan and it concerns a big bad yellow intergalactic threat known as Parallax.

TV Fun! Wonder Woman Rejected, V Canceled but Chuck Renewed

This is the fun time of year when networks decide what shows to keep and what shows get canned (and maybe shipped off to other networks).

So if you haven’t been following along, here is what you missed so far:

Wonder Woman Rejected by NBC

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that NBC has passed on the controversial Wonder Woman pilot from David E. Kelley and Warner Bros. TV.

Why did the ‘ol girl fail to pass muster?

NBC isn’t saying for now but scuttlebutt reveals the pilot earned mixed reviews at test screenings. And then there was all the online blow back about the costume – which seemed to de-emphasize the patriotism and play up the comic’s Greek mythology. Ultimately, the wardrobe department went back to the drawing board but that didn’t seem to save the project.

Big bummer for Adrianne Palicki — a budding star from Friday Night Lights who deserved a leading role on the fall lineup. Maybe she can fill the void left by Minka Kelly on Parenthood and be the hot gal who keeps messing with Crosby’s mind. Or…Warner Bros. TV may try to shop the pilot elsewhere. But who would take a gamble on a pilot that NBC rejected?”

Chuck fans will be happy to learn that despite some internet rumors of the show being canceled, NBC has decided to renew the show for a Fifth and Final season (13 epidoses).

NBC also cut The Event, but that one may not be totally gone, NBC is going to explore multiple options for continuing the series elsewhere

HBO is renewing Treme for a third season.

CBS… this one I’m sure you already know but Two and a Half Men will stay alive by replacing Charlie Sheen with Ashton Kutcher.

ABC had a little bit of a blood bath cutting – Brothers & Sisters, V, No Ordinary Family, Detroit 1-8-7, Off the Map, Mr. Sunshine and Better With You.

Trailer for ‘Conan The Barbarian’ is up

The first full-length trailer for Conan the Barbarian is now officially up and ready for you guys to check out.

I was a bit worried about Jason Momoa (he plays Conan), but I did like him in Stargate Atlantis and now that I’ve seen him in Game Of Thrones I’m ok with it.

“I live. I love. I slay…I am content.” – Conan The Barbarian

The most legendary Barbarian of all time is back this Summer. Having thrived and evolved for eight consecutive decades in the public imagination- in prose and graphics, on the big screen and small, in games and properties of all kinds- Conan’s exploits in the Hyborian Age now come alive like never before in a colossal 3D action-adventure film.

A quest that begins as a personal vendetta for the fierce Cimmerian warrior soon turns into an epic battle against hulking rivals, horrific monsters, and impossible odds, as Conan realizes he is the only hope of saving the great nations of Hyboria from an encroaching reign of supernatural evil.

Deftly adapted from the original works of Robert E. Howard and faithful to the mythology and psychology of his iconic character, CONAN THE BARBARIAN stars Jason Momoa, Rachel Nichols, Stephen Lang, Ron Perlman and Rose McGowan, and is directed by Marcus Nispel

Conan the Barbarian, will be released on August 19, 2011
