Rumor: Please Don’t Spy On Me Kinect

And now for some rumor news that I really hope is not true from ExtremeTech. Microsoft has filed for a Kinect-related patent that in theory describes a camera-based system that would monitor the number of viewers in a room and check to see if the number of occupants exceeded a certain threshold set by the content provider….. yeah that sounds like something I want in my house. Very Sad, Special Effects Legend Ray Harryhausen Dies At 92

Ray Harryhausen was a master of the stop-motion visual effects and had a hand in some of my favorite movies from back in the day. I still remember seeing the Skeleton Warriors from Jason and the Argonauts and thinking how awesome they looked. So much so that I tried to make my own stop motion stuff as a kid.
