In the theatrical release of “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” the future X-Men had to overcome overwhelming odds in order for Kitty Pryde (Ellen Page) to send Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) into the past, so that he could warn a young Professor X (James MacAvoy) and Magneto (Michael Fassbender) about the dire consequences of the Sentinel Program. In the upcoming Rogue Cut of that film, Kitty gets swapped out for Rogue (Anna Paquin) due to as-of-yet unknown circumstances, and the first scene from that extended cut has just been released.

Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios are proud to announce that after a full worldwide casting search, Tom Holland will play Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the next Spider-Man film, in theaters in IMAX and 3D on July 28, 2017. The film will be directed by Jon Watts, director of “Cop Car,” the upcoming thriller that made its debut earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival.
