Michael Shanks, AKA Dr. Daniel Jackson for you Stargate SG-1 fans, will play Hawkman in the Justice Society episode of Smallville titled “Society” scheduled for January. It will be written by fan-favorite Geoff Johns directed by Glen Winter, who also directed the “Legion” episode.

On his Twitter account Tuesday Geoff Johns confermed something we had hoped for, but hey you never know

Yes, Hawkman will have wings. And a big mace. Oh. And he and Green Arrow don’t get along. At all.

What else did we find out about this episode. It will have Stargirl as actress Britt Irvin (Aliens in America)

And Dr. Fate! He’ll be played by actor Brent Stait, also known for his appearances in genre fare like “Stargate”.
