Deadpool Cast as Green Lantern

Ryan Reynolds, 32, who recently played the character Deadpool opposite Hugh Jackman in X-Men Origins: Wolverine will be crossing Universes for his next flick and going from Marvel to DC, and actually back to Marvel again with a spinoff for Reynold’s Deadpool character in development.

After winning a three-way battle with Justin Timberlake and Bradley Cooper over the role it seems that Ryan Reynolds will play Hal Jordan in the upcoming Green Lantern movie.

If the new deal goes ahead, it would make Reynolds the only male actor to have played heroes for comic rivals Marvel and DC.
