Judge Minty – Taking Law To The Lawless!

I would have never guessed this is fan made.

Based on the 2000AD comic book character Judge Minty (a more approachable version of Judge Dredd) and made by fan filmmaker Steven Sterlacchini, we get a glimpse at what a truly creative person can do with a little time and even less money.

Here is the synopsis:

The film will be based on Judge Minty, a character created by John Wagner and Mick McMahon. An aging Judge who is forced to ‘retire’ from the streets, mainly it seems because he has become too compassionate. He chooses to take ‘The Long Walk’ into the Cursed Earth, there “to take law to the lawless”. The film will be based around his first experiences in the radioactive wastes.

Also, my first thought was “How much does something like this cost… cause I’m blow away by some of the visuals. Looking at the youtube page I found this little tidbit.

Hard to say really as people were just doing it for themselves rather than being paid…

We had? a day of location hire, although you’re not really seeing much of it – and 2 days of green screen hire, but people were generally giving their time for nothing.
