Smallville Update: Brian Austin Green as Metallo

TV Guide recently released this very Iron Man/Whiplash looking picture of Brian Austin Green as Metallo in the new season of Smallville.

Green’s character starts out as John Corben, a new Daily Planet reporter, who becomes Metallo when an accident leaves him with a heart made of kryptonite. Kryptonite being something Superman has an aversion too so you can see the conundrum this will put the man of steel in.

Some of you may remember Brian Austin Green recently from the canceled Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles… I think he did a great job so it will be no shock to me seeing him pull this roll off also.

Smallville returns for its 9th season (Damn, just knowing that makes me feel old) on September 25, 2009.
