It’s only a rumor, but according to Variety, Benicio Del Toro has been offered (or will be offered) the role of a villain in the upcoming Star Trek sequel. So far no word on who he could be playing but we are thinking it will be Khan.

As you can see, R2D2 is floating through the debris field in a shot where the Director figured out attention would of course be on the giant Romulan ship, the Nerada. While completely ignoring this little robot floating gently to the left of the screen.
But here he is! Undeniable proof that R2D2 somehow was transported through space and time in order to witness the destruction of Vulcan.
I guess the chances are that he was then sucked into the black hole and sent far far away with all the debris from Vulcan…
*Update, some people online are saying that this image is Photoshoped but I want to help prove that it is not. The best way to do this I have found is to play your copy of ‘Star trek’ with Media Player Classic and use the amazing frame advance feature to get the still… thats how I done it.
I am truly amazed that I seem to be one of the few people who spotted this, yay for me! lolz.

That’s obviously him, a fact that has been confirmed to me by one of the movie’s sequence supervisors at Industrial Light & Magic—the same guy who said this previous sighting was just the shuttle.
